‘Call It Out’ Workshops – End Violence Against Women and Girls

Call it Out Workshops

On Thursday 25 April, the Wellbeing Service in collaboration with Rhondda Cynon Taf Community Safety Partnership will deliver a series of workshops for women as part of their ‘Call It Out’ campaign. The workshops will provide an opportunity to learn about violence against women and will aid women in reporting any incidents of concern they may experience.

The ‘Call It Out’ workshops will explore 4 key areas:

  • Topic 1 - Healthy Relationships: Learn about coercive control and what makes a healthy relationship.
  • Topic 2 – Identifying and Reporting a Crime: Gain an understanding of laws and legislation relating to domestic abuse and sexual violence, including new legislation that protects victims from ‘upskirting’ and ‘revenge porn’.
  • Topic 3 - Personal Safety: Tips for keeping yourself safe whilst out and about.
  • Topic 4 - Self Defence Class: An optional basic self-defence session.

The workshops will provide women with the tools to identify the topics listed above - whether in relation to themselves, friends, family, or in the workplace.
