More Covid-19 vaccination pop-up clinics in Treforest

Pop-up vaccination clinics will be available at our Treforest Campus over the next couple of weeks for anyone over the age of 12 who needs their first dose, second dose or booster of a Covid-19 vaccination.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board will be running the vaccination clinic from 10am to 2pm on Monday 28 February, Friday 4 March and Monday 7 March in H Block (H009). You do not need an appointment - please just drop in.

Extra dates added:  11am to 3pm on Friday 18 March and Friday 25 March.

You don’t need to be registered with a local GP to get a vaccination. If you have had your first dose / second dose of a Covid-19 vaccination in the UK, then please try and bring along your NHS vaccination card if you have it. But don’t worry if you don’t have it - it won’t stop you from getting your second dose or booster.

  • First doses are available to anyone over the age of 12
  • Second doses are available eight weeks after the first dose
  • Boosters are available 13 weeks after the second dose.

Please note, if you have recently been infected with Covid-19, it needs to be 28 days since you tested positive for Covid-19 before you can have your vaccination.

These drop-in clinics are open to UK and international students - if you are an international student and have already had one or two doses of a Covid-19 vaccination in another country, please bring details of the vaccination that you had to the clinic.

The clinic is also open to family members of USW students.

It’s a quick and easy process, and it will offer you, and everyone around increased protection from Covid-19. In line with USW guidelines, face coverings must be worn inside USW buildings and therefore will need to be worn when attending the vaccination clinic.

The Public Health Wales website has lots of useful information about vaccinations if you would like to read up on it further, including frequently asked questions about having the vaccination covering everything from pregnancy and fertility to how the vaccination works to protect you.

Walk-in appointments are still available in most health board areas (please also refer to the health board social media channels for up-to-date details about walk-in clinics):
