Nurse Appointments

Until further notice nurse appointments will be telephone appointments only.

You can book a telephone appointment using Advice Zone Online. Please ensure that you include your mobile number and the reason for your appointment when making the booking  - put this information in the notes section of the online booking form. We are not able to call international numbers, please supply a UK mobile or landline number or contact us via email or Advice Zone Online.

At the scheduled appointment time a nurse will call you and assess whether you then need to be seen or advise you of any treatment.

It is a good idea to always keep your mobile number and personal (non-university) email address up to date in case the University needs to contact you: update your personal details.

Queries without an appointment

You can also email queries to health@southwales.ac.uk or submit queries via Advice Zone Online.

Students registered with Ashgrove Surgery

Due to the Coronavirus situation GP clinics on campus  have been cancelled until further notice

If you feel that you need to see a doctor please contact Ashgrove surgery direct on 01443 404 444 and ask to book a telephone consultation. You will be assessed over the phone and if the doctor thinks that you need to be seen they will arrange an appointment for you to go to the main surgery in Pontypridd or organise a prescription with a pharmacist.

Students returning home who are registered with Ashgrove Surgery

Please remember that if you are returning home you WILL NO LONGER be registered with your home GP Surgery, because you are instead registered with Ashgrove Surgery.

If you need to see or speak with a doctor whilst at home you have 2 options:

  • You can still ring Ashgrove Surgery on 01443 404 444 and ask for a telephone consultation
  • Arrange to be seen at your Home GP surgery as a TEMPORARY patient
