Mental Health Service Appointments

No face-to-face support appointments are available until further notice.

30 Minute Wellbeing Advice Telephone and Skype appointments are available and can be booked  via Advice Zone Online. Please include your mobile number or Skype address in the notes section of the online booking form. You should always keep your contact details up to date in case the University needs to contact you.

Please note, submitting a Request for Support Form is not required when requesting a 30 minute appointment.

The USW Wellbeing Service offers different types of support: counselling, mental health support, specialist mentoring, workshops, and self-help ideas. To access support, please complete the Request for Support Form.

After you've submitted the form we will assess the information you have given us and contact you with the next available appointment, or to suggest another type of support. If an appointment is made for you we advise you to make every effort to attend this appointment. Please check your university emails regularly (including your junk mailbox) for contact from us.  

What will happen during my first Mental Health Service appointment?

Your first appointment will last for about 50 minutes. You may be asked to complete a brief questionnaire about your mental health and we will explain our procedures and our confidentiality code.

All Mental Health Advisers abide by a strict confidentiality code and take your confidentiality and data protection very seriously.
