Writing for Wellbeing

Writing for wellbeing is an opportunity for you to practice mindfulness and self-reflection through creative writing.

Writing is a great way to take a break; it requires focus, imagination, thought and creativity.

The session will include opportunities for you to work on both fiction and non-fiction. There will be short writing exercises that will allow you to explore your imagination and creativity in a calm, relaxed and non-judgemental environment. We will also have the chance to write and reflect on our personal lives, whether this is a short essay, a diary entry or journaling is entirely up to you!

No one will be pressured or made to share their work. If you would like to share with the rest of the group, that is wonderful. However, the goal of the session is not necessarily to gain feedback on our writing, but to engage with the process of writing itself and discover its powerful capabilities for reflection, mindfulness and wellbeing.
